    v1 v2
    1 = Getting ops-monitoring code =
    21
    3 You can retrieve out latest release (v2.0) from http://software.geni.net/local-sw/ . Select "ops-monitoring-v2.0.tar.gz" and click Download at the bottom of the page.
    4
    5 If you have an [GettingAnAccount account] you can use the same username and password to browse our git repository.
    6
    7 To download the code via (read-only) git clone:
    8
    9  * If you want to type your username and password every time, use this command:
    10 {{{
    11 git clone http://trac.gpolab.bbn.com/git/ops-monitoring.git
    12 }}}
    13  * If you just want to be prompted for your password, add the username to the clone command like this:
    14 {{{
    15 git clone http://username@trac.gpolab.bbn.com/git/ops-monitoring.git
    16 }}}
    17  * If you don't want to be prompted for your username or password you can add an entry to your `$HOME/.netrc` like this:
    18 {{{
    19 machine trac.gpolab.bbn.com
    20 login username
    21 password mypassword
    22 }}}
    23  Then use the git clone command like this (being sure NOT to include the username):
    24 {{{
    25 git clone http://trac.gpolab.bbn.com/git/ops-monitoring.git
    26 }}}
    27
    28 The master branch should be the same as our latest release.  You will
    29 see additional files in the git repo that are not in the release.  We
    30 have pruned the release down to what is necessary to run the
    31 monitoring system.  When using the git repo, you will need to run make
    32 (GNU make is required) at the top before attempting to use the
    33 software.  In the release, this is already done for you.
